Trip to TropicalĀ Fever!

In Trip to Tropical Fever on April 11, 2010 at 4:46 pm

Did a little road trip to Fergus, Ontario to check out Terry Clements place. He breeds several rare African cichlid species. I was after some of his Neolamprologus Jumbo Brichardi “Fulwe Rocks”. Apparently, these guys can get huge!

Terry’s a nice guy, and highly knowledgeable. He’s done some interesting things in his fishroom which you just gotta see.

The fishroom itself is not large, but it’s packed with super nice fish. Very high quality stuff. And healthy. In the pix you’ll notice that his backgrounds look like granite. He told us he actually spray-bombed the outside using this “stone” spray paint. He even does the bottom glass (outside), and it looks awesome!

He has a website with stock list and prices (which are very, very reasonable).

Here are a few pix of his fish:

Metriaclima sp. "Msobo Deep"

Solid yellow Labidochromis caeruleus

Placidochromis phenochilus "Mdoka" - Love those bright white lips!

Aulonocara baenschi - One of the nicest yellow peacocks.
